Happy leap year everyone!

I cannot believe today is the last day of February, we are already two months into 2016 and it's blowing my mind! Also, I cannot believe that I am already half way spring semester, I mean I leave to head home for spring break this weekend! As of now I don't think I have any plans to travel any where too exciting for spring break, but it will be nice to take a break from school and work nonetheless!

So funny thing about today's outfit pictures. When we were out shooting these photos the sun was so bright and I had forgotten my sunglasses so it made it so difficult for me open my eyes! So please excuse my odd facial expressions in most of these photos!

Today I am sharing one of my most worn sweaters this past season. I picked up this darling little sweater from Forever 21 last winter and am still so happy that I did. The sweater is in my favorite shade of pink and has this beautiful lace scalloped detail at the bottom. This sweater is super girly and fits perfectly into my wardrobe!

What was your most worn clothing item this past winter? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you all have a happy Monday and I'll be back Wednesday! (:

Southwestern Inspired

Top: American Eagle // Jeggings: Target // Booties: Just Fab // Purse: Kate Spade // Watch: Michael Kors // Chain Bracelet: J. Crew Factory // Pearl Bracelet: Forever 21

Happy Friday everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful week and are excited for the weekend!

Do you ever come across a piece of clothing item that you absolutely love until you look at the price? That's pretty much me every time I go shopping. A while back I fell in love with this southwestern styled top from Topshop but passed on the $50 price. Fast forward to last week when I was shopping for work clothes with Mr. Camera man and I stumbled upon this similar looking top at American Eagle on clearance for $14! Steal! I'm all about dupes on a college budget, especially trendy items.

I decided to go fairly simple with today's outfit and paired the top off with my favorite pair of black jeggings from Target. You all are probably sick of these jeggings by now, but they're seriously my favorite pari of pants! I finished the look off with a pair of gray booties and I was good to go!

I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll see you all Monday!

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday!

Today's blog posts photos were taking at one of my favorite parks in Charlotte, The Green Urban Park! It's such a fun and quirky little park and I always feel like a little kid in a story book when I go visit it.

So I have been playing around with my style for a long time and have been trying to figure out what my personal style is. Based on the pieces that I mainly gravitate to and feel the most confident in, I feel that I finally have found what my personal style is (at least in this point in time!). I like to describe my style as being girly with a slight edge. I love my soft pastels, but I also love mixing them with my leather jackets and combat boots.

Now, after my long spill about finding my personal style, on to today's outfit post! Today I am back again to wearing this gorgeous light pink tank. I seriously wear this top every other week because it can go with so many things! I paired the top of with this army green button down and love how the two look paired together!

Side note, please excuse my wacky hair due to the wind no cooperating with me. Long hair + strong winds = unhappy Amy. haha

I hope you guys are having a wonderful week so far and I'll be back on Friday with another post!

Happy Monday everyone and long time no outfit post! The weather here in Charlotte has been so pretty lately so I had to take advantage of it and get some outfit posts for you all!

Today I’m sharing an outfit I wore for a late Valentine’s Day celebration with my Valentine this past Wednesday. We celebrated our Valentine's day with a trip to see Deadpool (btw, super scary. I'm such a weenie and hate movie with lots of shooting and fighting) and a dinner at Blue! Blue has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte and I highly recommend it if you're ever in the city. I feel like this outfit perfectly describes my style, girly with a slight edge!

I decided to go with my favorite color combinations, light pink and white for this outfit. Starting from the top, I paired this white-cropped lace top that I got ages ago and Forever 21 with my new favorite pink suede skirt. Purchasing this skirt was a bit out of my comfort zone because I didn’t think a suede skirt would fit into my style, but I am obsessed with it! I’ve already worn it three times!

To add a bit of edge to the look I finished it off with my favorite leather jacket. I got this leather jacket freshman year of college and it has been one of my favorite jackets since! I love how it’s a slightly gray, which gives it a softer look than a black leather jacket.

I hope this warm weather continues because I am so ready for spring! When I say I have spring fever, I mean I have it BAD. All I want is to break out all of my floral dresses and see the sunshine again! Let me know in the comments down below what you’re most excited for in spring and I’ll be back Wednesday for another blog post! Have a great Monday everyone!

Staying Motivated to Workout

how_to_stay_motivated_to_workout

Happy Monday everyone!

Sorry for the inconsistency of last week's post. School was kicking my butt last week! Also, with the the weather starting to be so cold outside I'm trying to find ways to take some outfit photos for you all. If you have any suggestions please let me know down in the comments down below!

Today I am excited to share a new series with you all! Some of you may know that I work at a gym and that I have started gaining an interest in working out since last year. I wanted to share my interest with you all with this new series called "Motivation Monday." Once a month I am going to post a "Motivation Monday" post about a certain topic pertaining to fitness. I hope you are excited for this series as I am and if you have any post suggestions please let me know!

Today's post is all about how to stay motivated to work out! It's no surprise that losing weight and being healthy is the number one New Year's resolution for most people, but did you know that majority of people only maintain those resolutions for the first couple of months? Here are some tips that will keep you going to the gym all year around!

1. Get new workout clothes

New workout clothes always motivate me to get my booty to the gym! I mean, any excuse to go shopping is great right? Head to your favorite athletic store and pick up some new workout gear to get you into the mood to go workout!

2. Inspiration board

If I see my goals written down in front of me every day I am more likely to do them even when I'm not in the mood to. Make a cute inspiration board on a corkboard or poster board and put it up in your room. When you are constantly reminded of your goals you are more likely to set out to achieve them!

3. Grab a buddy!

Ok, I know this tip has been said many times, but it is so true! I am less likely to bail out on a friend when we have things planned so set up some workout dates with your buddies! I love going to Zumba classes with friends, it makes working out so much more fun and you're there to motivate each other!

4. Take progress photos

When you can see progress happening you're more likely to continue working out, at least for me. I know taking photos of yourself may seem uncomfortable, but you're the only one that's going to look at them! Seeing how far I've come always pushes me to continue on my fitness journey.

5. Schedule it

I'm a major planner and hate when things don't go as scheduled. To help me stick with your workout routine I make sure to schedule it like it's a class in my planner. You can start with going to a group fitness class you like every week or just block a time frame for you to go to the gym!

I hope you all found some of these tips helpful and are able to see them to help you stay motivated to go to the gym! Also, let me know if you're excited about this new series! I hope you all have a wonderful week!
