Spring Wedding Dress Ideas

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer // Monogram Clutch: Marley Lilly // Wedges: Target (similar) //  Watch: Michael Kors (similar) // Bracelet: Alex and Ani // Chain Bracelet: J. Crew Factory

Happy Friday everyone!

Ahhh, wedding season. The time where love birds come together to become one and an opportunity for their guests to dress up and stuff their faces with wedding cake. I just love how weddings can bring people together and it's a chance for you to see family / friends that you may have not seen for a while. I actually have my cousin's wedding that I am going to tomorrow!

Today I am sharing with you all a potential wedding guest dress. While I was out shopping for my 21st birthday dress at Marshall's I came across this gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer dress and had to pick it up. Who knew that Marshall's sold Lilly?! I was even more excited at the fact that it even fit me and it was the only one in the store! I managed to pick up this beaut for about $150 less than retail along with my 21st birthday dress (you can check it out here)!

There are so many things that I love about this dress. First the aqua blue is just gorgeous and the length of it is perfect for my height. Also, I love the high neckline which keeps it modest and perfect for spring / summer weddings.

I have linked some of my favorite dresses below that I think would be perfect for any spring / summer wedding that you are attending this season. Let me know if you have any weddings that you are attending this season and where your favorite place to pick up dresses in the comments down below! I hope you all have a fun and safe weekend!

Rompin' Around

Romper: Forever 21 (similar) // Denim Shirt: Burke's Outlet (similar) // Flats: Target // Sunglasses: Nasty Gal // Purse: Michael Kors // Watch: Michael Kors (similar) // Necklace: Tiffany and Co.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

So is it me or has these last few months FLOWN by?! I mean, I'm about to wrap up my 3rd year in college and it's blowing my mind! Finals are right around the corner and then next thing you know it summer classes are starting. This is crazy! One of my April goals was to go out more and be in the moment. I'm still currently working on that and try to make the most of my time in school, but it can be so tempting to stay at home and binge watch YouTube videos all day!

With the warmer weather (finally) here, I'm excited that I have more options to play around with as far as bottoms go. I'm talking about skirts, dresses, shorts, rompers, annnnyything but pants! If you know me, then you know I hate pants, especially jeans. Jeans are just so tight and restricting that I can't imagine how normal people can go all day wearing them. As soon as I get into my apartment you best believe I head straight to my closet and strip down and put on some Norts ASAP.

One particular "bottom" I love to sport in the warmer months are rompers. They're so easy to just throw on and head out the door (and not to mention comfortable!). The only pain with rompers though is that it is a hassle when you do have to use the bathroom, but that's something I'm willing to put up with as long as it means that I don't have to be suffocated in tight skinny jeans all day.

I've worn this outfit multiple times before and thought I'd finally share it with you all on the blog today! This black and white tribal romper has to be one of my favorite rompers in my collection, it's super soft and comfortable I feel like I'm wearing pjs! To add a little more to my look I threw on my favorite denim shirt (I know, I wear this way too much) and accessorize with my favorite sunnies and jewelry pieces.

What's your favorite "bottom" to wear in the warmer months? Let me know in the comments down below! Also let me know if you hate wearing pants as much as I do. I'd love to know!
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Layered necklaces + GIVEAWAY

White Sweater: Old Navy (similar) // Pink Tank: Forever 21 (similar) // Jeggings: Target (similar) // Long Triangle Necklace: DailyLook (similar) // NC State Necklace: A-List Greek c/o // Flats: Target  (similar) // Purse: Kate Spade (similar)

Hello everyone and happy Monday!

Today's blog post is an exciting post because I'm hosting my first giveaway! Stay tuned to the end of the post to find out all the details!

A trend that I have loved for a while now has been layered necklaces. I just love the look of throwing a couple dainty necklaces on to spice up a simple outfit. As of now my dainty necklace collection is fairly small and I have been on the look out lately for new pieces to add to my collection.

One piece in particular that I have been on a hunt for a while is a small state necklace to add to my collection. As most of you know, I am currently attending school in the great city of Charlotte. I have lived in North Carolina for almost all of my life and have loved it! I love how you can experience so many different sceneries in just one state.

This North Carolina state necklace from A-List Greek is everything I wanted in a state necklace and more! It’s so dainty that I can wear it by itself with almost any outfit or layered with other pieces in my collection. If you all are on the hunt for some really cute personalized jewelry, be sure to check out A-List Greek. They do specialized in sorority pieces, but they do give you an option to personalize their pieces with pretty much anything you want!

A-List greek was kind enough to let me partner with them to host a giveaway for a chance for you all to win your own state necklace! You can choose from any state you want in gold or silver as well as have your initials engraved on it as well. If you're interested in entering the giveaway, be sure to follow the directions down below!

I wish you all luck in the giveaway and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hello everyone!!

First off, I apologize for not having a post up yesterday. I had every intentions of posting a birthday themed post yesterday, but with the end of the year wrapping up time just got the best of me. Today to make up for it, I' sharing a recap of my 21st birthday yesterday with you all!

In a previous post I had mentioned for some reason I wasn't super excited for my birthday this year. Something about me is that I really don't like change. Turning another year older meant more responsibilities and more adulating (which, I low key suck at haha), but as the days to my birthday came closer and closer I realize maybe growing up isn't such a bad thing after all. I mean, we can't help that we're getting older, so why not embrace it?

WOW. Sorry, did not mean to go into some rant about how life is short, but thought it would be fun to share my thought process with you all. Now, without further ado, here's my birthday recap! (:

From the second it turned midnight my birthday was filled with so much love. I started the day off with a traditional birthday breakfast with RJ! Funny thing is, we always go to IHOP for my birthday breakfast (which BTW sign up online and they'll send you free pancakes for your birthday!) but the IHOP we usually go to was being renovated that morning. /: We decided to head off to Panera instead, which is always just as good. (: I got a chance to enjoy my favorite breakfast sandwich and a free coffee cake for my birthday!

After breakfast I headed off to class to take my Business Law exam. If you follow me on Twitter (which, btw, you should because sometimes I like to think I'm funny on there! haha) you may know that I have been trying to get out of my exams due to the fact it was my birthday week. Follow up on that, apparently your 21st birthday isn't a valid excuse for getting out of an exam..

Thankfully I only had one class yesterday and was able to enjoy the rest of my day with some friends! I came back to my apartment and was surprised to see that my lovely roomies had decorated my door for my birthday! I had also opened some gifts from friends and am truly so lucky to have some amazing people in my life.

One of my gifts was a selfie stick from my friend Kody! It's one of those gifts where I would never purchase one for myself, but would get a big kick out of it if I was gifted it. Not going to lie, this was up there with my favorite gifts I have ever received... haha!

The only thing I had planned to do for my actual birthday was a dinner at Fahrenheit, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Charlotte! Before dinner RJ and I headed out to take some (outfit) shots for the blog!

Being the fashion - obsessed girl that I am, it was so hard for me to settle on a birthday dress to wear. I told one of my friends that I wanted to look "twenty-fun, but still like a classy grandma." hahaha. I finally settled on a royal blue shift dress and my favorite wedges! If you've been following me for a while, you know I love shift dresses, especially for dinners because they hide your food baby!

Once we got to dinner I was able to order my first legal drink! Nothing screams "classy grandma" than a glass of white wine!

Also, S/O to these guys who always let me dress them and color coordinate with me! Living in Charlotte would not be the same without them!

Quick S/O to my amazing roommates as well! So happy they were able to come to my birthday dinner and celebrate with me!!

It was such a fun experience to turn 21 on the 21st floor! Also, I was not expecting to have dessert so it was such a nice surprise and to have everyone sing to me!

WHEW. That was a lot to go over! I had so much fun celebrating my birthday yesterday and want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! I felt so loved and it was such a fantastic day! Here's to being 21!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Happy Monday everyone!

I know I always say I'm excited to share my outfit posts with you all, but today I am especially excited because I am collaborating with Emily from Emily Tsakissiris! If you haven't check out her blog yet, I highly recommend that you do! She's adorable and has the cutest style!

Today we're going to show you all how you can take your little black dress for multiple seasons.
When we were talking about collaborating with each other I didn't realize that we both lived in two different countries and that our season would be different, thus the idea for this post came about. Emily lives in Australia and it's currently fall where she's at, she'll be showing you all how you can make your dress more fall time appropriate while I'm sharing how I made my dress more spring time appropriate.

When I think about spring fashion all pastels and floral come to mind. To make my LBD a little more spring time appropriate I threw on this mint ombre cardigan to add some color and pastels to my outfit. To accessorize I layered on some necklaces and paired it with my go-to Kate Spade bag.

The LBD is such a versatile piece that can be worn in many seasons and occasions. How would you style your LBD for the spring? Let me know in the comments down below!

Also, side note, my birthday is this Wednesday!!! Be sure to come back and check out my 21st birthday post! Hope you all have a great Monday!
