Being in college and having morning classes every day I always tend to run into the dilemma if I want to be comfy or cute for the day. I know, I know I'm going to school for an eduction and I shouldn't worry too much about what I wear to class, but I do go by the motto "look good, feel good" (and plus, I am a fashion / style blogger after all, right?). I'm a firm believer that if I put a little bit of effort into a put together outfit or making myself presentable I feel more confident and ready to tackle my day.
After three and a half years of college, I've finally put together my go to formula for the perfect comfy yet cute fall outfit for class. The best part about this "formula" is that it's super simple to switch in different pieces to create a variety of looks. Ready for the formula?
Basics + Statement Piece + Simple Accessories
I always start off with a blank canvas with my basics. I typically go for my black leggings (we are going for comfort after all) and some type of comfy tee or plain sweater if it's chilly out. This high low tee is my go to and it's so soft and comfy!
A nice statement necklace, scarf or shoes can really make your outfit go from a 7 to a 10. I typically lean towards adding a printed scarf or necklace to my outfit because they're super easy to throw on and can really add a lot to a rather plain outfit.
For this outfit I went for a leopard scarf and decided to let it hang around my neck instead of looping it around like I typically wear my scarfs. I typically don't wear my scarfs like this, but I really liked how it looked on this outfit and may start experimenting wearing my scarfs like this more often!
I like to finish any outfit with a couple of simple accessories. This mainly consists of my every day pieces such as my Michael Kors watch and some pearls, which today for this outfit I opted for my Kendra Scott earrings I got in my Rocksbox this month! I have never owned a Kendra Scott piece before so I was really excited to rent this pair from Rocksbox this month.
Annnd, that's it! That's my go to formula for putting together outfits in the morning for class. Looking at it, you can use this "formula" to put together any outfit when you don't know what to wear.
