Happy Friday friends!

Word on the street is that today is National Stripes Day! In honor of the holiday I thought it was only appropriate to share this adorable stripped dress with you all! Stripes are one of my favorite prints because they're so classic and can actually act as a neutral in some cases.

I have been seeing blue and white striped items EVERYWHERE this spring and low key not hating it. This is such a great classic color combination and I have been loving seeing different takes on it.

Another big trend this season has been ruffles. Ruffle tops, dress, skirts, you name it! Ruffles are such a fun and flirty detail to a clothing piece. I love how this dress incorporates two of my favorite trends for this spring. This dress is so fun and flirty and I can definitely see myself wearing this a ton this spring and summer!

Also, in honor of National Stripes Day, I wanted to share some of my favorite stripe pieces with you all! Let me know which one is your favorite!

I hope you all are had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend! I'm actually going shopping with a friend tomorrow to look for potential graduation dresses for my senior photos! I'll be sure to share my shopping trip with you all on Instagram stories!

Have a great weekend and thank you for reading!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Do you ever have a color that you are instantly drawn to or makes you happy? It may come to no surprise to you all that blush pink / pastel pink is the color that I'm instantly drawn to and it's sort have become my signature color.

I'm a strong believer in that colors have such a strong effect on your mood and can tell a lot about a person. Fun fact for you all, growing up I hated the color pink. I was more of a tomboy growing up and the color pink was just too girly for me. Funny how things ended up, right?

A couple weeks ago I hauled this adorable corduroy button down skirt on Instagram stories and couldn't wait to style it! This skirt has a slight stretch to it which makes it super comfy. It was also a major plus that it came in my favorite color. To bring out the pastel pink even more and dress the outfit up a bit I paired it off with this beautiful statement necklace. This necklace has everything I could ever want in a statement necklace, it is pastel pink, has sparkles and just the right side to add enough glam to a simple outfit.

This necklace is from Happiness Boutique, and online retailing site that sells a variety of clothing pieces, jewelry and accessories. Not only does Happiness Boutique offers a variety of beautiful pieces, they also have a great customer reward program! You can read more on it here

What is your signature color? Let me know in the comments down below! Also, if you've been following me on social media then you may have caught on that this week has been super work load heavy for me. Thankfully after today things will start to calm down! I hope you all are doing well and as always, thank you for reading!

Happy Monday friends!

I hope you all are doing well. If you follow me on Insta stories or snapchat then you might have known that I have been swamped with school work lately! Thankfully everything will start to calm down after Wednesday.. 2 more days!!

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite places to pick up affordable workwear pieces. Being on a budget, I can't really afford to spend too much money on a whole new wardrobe that's work wear appropriate and I know many of you are in the same boat as well! These are some of my favorite places to pick up workwear and a lot of them have SO many cute options.

My favorite places to get affordable workwear:

Target

Is there anything Target doesn't have? I love picking up button down tops and basics from Target! They also have a pair of flats for $16 that I have in both nude and black. They make great workwear shoes! Target also has a collaboration with Who What Wear that offers a variety of great work wear appropriate pieces for a great price.

Old Navy

I have been loving Old Navy lately! They have the best pixie pants and work tops. Everything there is pretty affordable and they always have great sales going on!

J.Crew Factory

I love J.Crew but not J.Crew prices. J.Crew factory is a go to for me and like Old Navy, they're always running great sales! I have been loving their Sidewalk skirt lately and I now have two of them! They're such a great basic and can go with so much!

Forever 21

If you are a long time follower of Pastel N Pink, then you know that I LOVED Forever 21. I don't shop as much there any more, but they do have some great pieces every once and a while. I like to get my tops from there and they are always at a great price.

H&M

H&M is actually where I purchased my first pant suit! They have a whole section for workwear items and have so much to choose from. They always have the cutest selection of classic button down tops and skirts!

Marshalls / TJ Maxx

If you look in the women's section of Marshalls / TJ Maxx, they always have a great selection of workwear pieces. I managed to find a great Michael Kors pencil skirt for $30 there! I always love finding great hidden treasures there.

Happy Friday friends!

I hope you all are doing well. Is it me or this week has been SO slow?? Maybe it's because there has been so much to do this week.

Today's outfit post has been one of my favorite outfits as of late. If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories, then you may know that I managed to score this skirt for $8!! I love the fit of the skirt and wished it came in more colors.

I wore this outfit to a blogger event I went to a couple weeks ago and think it reflects my personal style pretty well. I love fun prints, incorporating preppy styles and classic silhouette into my outfits. When going to events I like to put together outfits that reflect me, my blog and my own personal style. I joked with some of my friends that I low key look like the Asian Blair Waldorf or a school girl in this outfit!
I hope you all have a great weekend and be sure to let me know what you're up to! Have a great Friday and as always, thank you for reading!

Current Favorite Hair Products

Happy Wednesday friends!

I hope you all are doing well! Today I'm sharing a round up of my current favorite hair products! I had mentioned on Instagram stories (which, by the way if you're not following me you should!) that I have been really into trying out different hair products lately.  I had mentioned before in my previous hair posts that I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair, but I have found some really great products that I have been using almost daily!

HASK Greek Yogurt Shampoo + Conditioner
hask_greek_yogurt
Shampoo c/o | Conditioner c/o

I had mentioned before in a pervious hair post that my hair has suffered a little since moving to the city. I'm pretty sure my dry hair is partially due to the difference in water here in the city. With that said, I have been on the hunt for various products to help hydrate my hair and keep it looking it's best.

I always joke with people that my hair is my child... but it really is! It has to be one of my favorite things about me and I am always looking for ways to take care of it. In high school I was really into natural remedies to help take care of my hair. I remember I use to put olive oil in my hair to make it nice and silky and other times I use to put natural greek yogurt in my hair. YUP, you heard that right. I use to put a big spoon full of this delicious breakfast staple in my hair. As far as if it did anything to my hair, I'm not sure. I mean, my hair in high school was at it's prime, so I guess all those natural remedies did do something after all!

If you're not into putting breakfast foods in your hair, thankfully for you HASK has came out with a greek yogurt collection consisting of shampoos, conditioners and hair masks to help give your hair the extra boost it needs! The collection comes in a variety of formulas that can accommodate a variety of hair needs such as color treated hair, repair and hydrate.

This product is great for keeping my hair hydrated and looking it's best. Currently it's available at Walgreens if you all want to try it out! Also, for all my curly hair friends, RJ LOVES this product! He often has trouble with shampoos and conditioners making his hair too fluffy after he dries it, and finds that this one keeps his hair looking nice even after it dries.

Batist Dry Shampoo
batiste_dry_shampoo
Dry Shampoo

I've been on a hunt for a good dry shampoo for a while and I have been LOVING this one! For one this product smells so good and two, it works so well! I wanted to put this product to the test and managed to go 6 days without washing my hair (I know, cringe!) and it wasn't super greasy at all. The spray in this product is white, so I do have to rub it in my hair pretty thoroughly, but other than that it's fine. I do know that this brand has a brunette version of this dry shampoo so I may look into that when I run out of this bottle.

It's a 10 Miracle Whips Styling Balm
its_a_10_styling_balm
Styling Balm
RJ's mom had gifted this to me on Christmas and I just got around to using it within the past month. This is great for keeping my hair from being too fluffy when I blow dry it. All you have to do with this styling balm is run it through your damp hair and blow dry like normal. I love how it makes my hair look sleek and shiny!

Sammy Hairspray
sammy_hairspray
Hairspray

My whole family swears by this product! Is it weird to say my dad is the one who introduced me to it? Haha, thanks dad! This is by far my favorite hairspray, it holds my curls nicely and doesn't make my hair too crunchy. It oddly has a slight orange scent which a plus! Most hairsprays I have used in the past always weighs my curls down or makes them SUPER crunchy, but I find that this one is the perfect medium of holding your hairstyle without being so stiff you can't touch it!

And those are my current favorite hair products! Let me know down below if you all like my hair care content and I'll be sure to post more of them for you all! Also, let me know what your tride and true hair products are down below! I'd love to test them out! I hope you all have a great day!

Happy Monday friends!

I hope all of you had a great weekend! I'm so excited to share today's post with you all. We all know brunch is the best meal of the day and today I'm dishing out my 5 must try brunch locations in Charlotte.  One of my favorite parts about Charlotte has to be the food scene. There are SO many good restaurant options here and it's such a big contrast to my hometown (we had a total of about 4 non fast food chain restaurant options).

Also, side note: I had totally meant to be super artsy and incorporate me drinking coffee in these photos, but we were taking these at 7pm and caffeine + me at night = recipe for disaster.

But, before we get onto the restaurant, let's take a hot second with this dress. This floral number is the perfect Sunday brunch outfit. Why? For one, it's SUPER cute and two, it's super flowey which makes it perfect for you to stuff your face to your heart's content and don't have to worry about any constricting clothes. #realtalk We all know that I love a good food friendly dress!

Now, let's get started in the brunch locations, shall we?

Fahrenheit
I've talked about Fahrenheit many times and it has to be one, if not my favorite places to treat myself to in Charlotte. From beautiful views to wonderful service and delicious food, what more can you ask for? Fun fact, Fahrenheit is where I actually tried Captain Crunch cereal for the first time. Crazy I know.

Suggest getting: Captain Crunch Pancakes - I low key felt like an 8 year old ordering this, but I have zero regrets. If you have a sweet tooth like I do then you will love these! Pancakes sandwiched with Captain Crunch cereal and a side of breakfast potatoes? Yes please! You can check out the full menu here

Famous Toastery
Famous Toastery, also known as Toast, serves brunch and lunch everyday till 3pm which makes it the ideal place for whenever you need your french toast fix.

Suggest Getting: Peanut Butter and Banana Stuffed French Toast - peanut butter and banana has to be one of my favorite combinations and add it with some french toast it's taste bud heaven. The order comes with 4 french toast sandwiches with a side which gives you plenty to fill you up in the restaurant and enough to take home. See the full menu here!

Bourdeauxs
Bourdeauxs is a little Louisiana styled restaurant in the corner of NoDa. If you're having trouble pronouncing the name, don't worry we're in the same boat. I've been here a couple of times with RJ and it's delicious!

Suggest Getting: Beignets - These are Cajun donuts and quite possibly the most delicious thing ever! I couldn't get a photo of them because we devoured them as soon as they arrived at the table because they're that good. A warning though, since they are covered in heavy amounts of powder sugar, try not to laugh while you eat them if you don't want to cover your entire table in powder sugary goodness.

Tupelo Honey Cafe

If you love southern style food, then Tupelo Honey is your place to go! Tupelo puts an innovative twist on your traditional southern dishes and they're all so good!

Suggest Getting: ShooMercy Sweet Potato Pancakes! Can you really go wrong with pancakes for brunch? Items on the menu varies from time to time. One time I got them just topped with walnuts and others I had fired chicken. Either way it's such a yummy brunch option!

Hazelnut's Creperie
In the mood for crepes? Check out Hazelnut's located in 7th Street Market! They offer both sweet and savory crepes and that are both delicious and filling.

Suggest getting: Pesto Capri. This delicious crepe is filled with basil pesto, mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, goat cheese, tomato and onions.. SO good! For my non vegetarian friends, they also have the basil pesto chicken which is the same thing with chicken. RJ says it's just as good!

Those are my top five must try brunch locations in Charlotte! I may do an updated one once I try more places in Charlotte if you all like! I love trying new food and sharing my yummy finds with you all.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and also, let me know where you favorite brunch locations are! I'd love to know, especially if I visit where ever you are located!
