Where to shop if you're stylin' on a budget

Looking cute and keeping up with the latest trends can be tough, especially on a budget. We all want to look our best and try out the latest and greatest styles but sometimes our wallets don't agree. Today I'm sharing a few of my favorite affordable stores I like to shop at that are a little bit easier on the wallet!

Happy Friday friends!

Being a recent college grad and not having a full-time job, I don't really have a whole lot of money to spend on clothes. Being a style blogger and shopaholic it can be hard to stay away from the latest trends. Today I'm sharing some retailers that both offer great on trend pieces and are wallet friendly!

Thrift stores
If you have been following me for a hot second now then you know I have been LOVING thrift store shopping as of late. Not only do you get awesome deals on clothing (I found a dress for work for $5!), but it's also great for the environment. My current favorite secondhand shop is Uptown Cheapskate, but I've also had luck at GoodWill. I'm always on the hunt for new ones in the Charlotte area! You can also check out some online secondhand shops such as ThredUP and Poshmark! I also put together a post all about my tips for thrift store shopping if you want to find out more!

BooHoo
Many of you already know that I love BooHoo. BooHoo is a UK based store and is always having sales, most of them are usually 50% off! They have super trendy pieces and most of the items I've purchased are less than $20. I typically get all of my dresses from BooHoo and have loved all of them! For a more in-depth and honest review of the BooHoo, you can check out this blog post!

Forever 21 is known for their low prices and trendy pieces. Although the quality may not always be the best, it is a great place to pick up a trendier item you may be unsure about or something for a specific occasion. You can sometimes find some jackpot items there though. Just be sure to check the material and the stitching of each garment. I tend to stay away from clothing made with rayon since it usually shrinks in the wash.

Marshalls / TJ Maxx
Of course you cannot forget about discount stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Sometimes you can get lucky with a little bit of searching and find name brand items like Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer!

Old Navy
Is it me or does Old Navy ALWAYS have sales going on? I have been loving their pieces lately and this is a great place to pick up some basics. I don't think I've ever paid full price for an item there because there's always a sale going on.

J.Crew Factory
If you love J.Crew, but not J.Crew prices then J.Crew Factory is a great alternative. Like Old Navy, J.Crew Factory always has some kind of sale going on (currently they're having 50% off their clearance!) and you can use your student ID for extra discounts!

Charming Charlie
I don't really shop a whole lot of clothing pieces at Charming Charlie, but this a great place for jewelry pieces!! I have gotten so many statement earrings and necklaces for around $10 that are comparable to some of the higher end ones!

Tobi
Tobi offers more "clubby" or going out looking clothing, but I have found some great girly pieces on there. If you sign up for their email list you'll get 50% off your first order and they are always running some type of sale as well! Right now they're having a 50% off their printed pieces!

Nordstrom Rack
Like the whole J.Crew situation, Nordstrom Rack is a great option if you like Nordstrom, but not the prices. I actually prefer shopping in store for Nordstrom Rack and you'll sometimes get lucky and score a clearance item for a penny!

H&M
H&M has always been a hit or miss for me, but when I do find something from there it's always a big hit. This is another great place for some trendy pieces and they have some really cute work wear options as well!

And that's it! Where do you like to shop when you're on a budget? Let me know in the comments down below! I hope you all have a wonderful day and as always, thank you for reading!

xoxo,
Amy
